Habitat ReStore Volunteers

The Habitat ReStore is a home improvement thrift store selling new and gently used building materials, furniture, and appliances to the general public at discounted prices. Habitat ReStore runs on material donations from community members and local businesses and all proceeds from the ReStore support our mission of building affordable homes in Cass and Clay Counties through the Habitat for Humanity Homeownership Program!

ReStore volunteers help with a variety of different tasks in the store, which all help us create a better shopping experience for our customers. These roles include, assisting customers with loading their new purchases into their car, helping to unload donations from community members and local businesses into our back room to be sold, cleaning products in the back room before they can be sold, cleaning throughout the store, organizing merchandise in a various departments like tools, hardware, plumbing, light fixtures, and more!

Volunteer shifts are recommended to be 2-4 hours long during the ReStore's open hours. Duties will be assigned to the volunteer based on their schedule, time commitment, and interests. If you would like to volunteer during hours or dates that are not listed on our calendar, please call the LAHFH Volunteer Coordinator, Brianna, at 218-512-0145 and we will try our best to accommodate you and/or your group.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us! We look forward to meeting you soon!
